Magical Winter Nights

The Magical Winter Nights application is closed for 2025.

Magical Winter Nights will transform the third floor of the Museum into an enchanting winter wonderland. Guests will step into a whimsical winter wonderland where a dazzling holiday adventure comes alive.

Volunteers will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for guests by assisting with greeting, wayfinding, and answering questions.

Shifts are available seven nights a week, with start times at 3:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m., and end at 9:00 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of three shifts for this short-term volunteer position.

Volunteers will play a role in greeting and wayfinding in The Lodge, Botswana, Birds of America, our Colorado, and Stanley Hall, aka Rare Bird Hall.

Magical Winter Nights experiences include

  • The Lodge: Fireside vibes, cocoa and cocktails for purchase.
  • Wild Winterland (Botswana): Moonlit savannah scene with wildlife ambiance.
  • The Frosted Path: Indoor sock skating illuminated by dazzling light projections.
  • Evergreen Hideaway: Colorado-inspired forest with postcard photo ops.
  • Celestial Canopy: Northern Lights projected above reflecting pools.
