Join us for the Girls & Science Kick Off Event to meet the mentors and participate in hands-on STEM activities. Come explore the many diverse opportunities a future career in science, technology, engineering, and math can bring. Bring the whole family for a night all about igniting a passion for science—try it on, test it out, and play! Programming will run from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The museum will remain open until 9:00 p.m.

Girls thINC Outside the Box Activity Kits
Families have the opportunity to go online to register for "Girls thINC Outside the Box" activity kits through Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Girls who register for the Girls thINC Outside the Box activity kits have access to instructional videos and trained Girls Inc. educators to support their experience at home. Boxes are designed specifically for girls 6-10 years old. To learn more and register for your kit, go to girlsincdenver.org/learning-year-round. Girls & Science Takeover of 2nd Saturday at CSU Spur
2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur are free and open to the public for lots of family-friendly programming, inclduing cooking activities in the CSU Spur kitchen, opportunities to watch veterinarians perform surgery on dogs and cats, see horses assisting with human therapies, engage with scientists at work, and play in a kid's kitchen and kid's vet clinic - allowing kids to become a veterinarian for the day and fix up stuffed animals. March 6th Girls & Science Kickoff Event Programming
Cryptography is all around us! From passwords to secure messages, encryption helps keep our information sage. Start the Cipher Quest with Pingy to begin learning the basic principles of coding and decoding messages with hands-on STEM learning.

Scientists from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science's genomics and zoology teams will be helping explore what makes us who we are. HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s is excited to share the wonders of the human heart. Stop by our booth to explore two hands‑on cardiovascular activities. First, get your heart pumping by listening to your heartbeat with a stethoscope before and after light physical activity. Then, try your hand at a portable ultrasound and see if you can spot the “heart” hidden in the jello. It’s a fun, interactive way to learn how your body keeps you moving.
