Celebrate the Day of the Child

Celebrate the Day of the Child with the Mexican Cultural Center at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on Sunday, April 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.!  In addition to FREE general admission for all visitors, the celebration will include special performances, music, and activities for the entire family.

Special thanks to the Mexican Cultural Center for their partnership.

Día del Niño celebrates all children.

Countries around the world have honored kids with a special day for nearly 100 years. The United Nations established the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990. This document declares that kids have a right to health, well-being, and happiness, and that they should be protected from physical or emotional harm. More than 190 countries have signed the treaty, defending children’s rights all over the world.

In many parts of the United States, Día del Niño is observed on April 30 to coincide with Mexico’s celebration.

Please do not park in the neighborhood across from the park. The Museum strives to be a good neighbor and we wish to reduce impact to those we share space with.
