Denver Museum of Nature & Science Hosts Event to Distribute Free Backpacks, School Supplies
DENVER - The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is proud to support Kensi’s Causes Packz4Kidz for an annual backpack distribution event, supporting local students as they prepare for the new school year. Packz4Kidz aims to distribute thousands of backpacks filled with essential school supplies to low-income children from preschool through 12th grade. The event will have lots of visuals and b-roll opportunities!
Event Details:
- Date: Aug. 10, 2024
- Time: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (or until backpacks run out)
- Location: Denver Museum of Nature & Science (Enter through the School Groups entrance on the building’s southside)
Each child will have the opportunity to select their own backpack, fostering a sense of ownership and excitement for the upcoming school year. Water bottles and lunch boxes will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Kenzi’s Causes is also organizing free back-to-school haircuts for participants, providing great visuals and b-roll opportunities.

Particularly, we can’t wait to welcome so many families for their first visit to the Museum, and invite them to stay and enjoy the science and nature exhibitions after getting their backpacks," said Daniel Ville, Manager for Community Engagement at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
The event is open to families from the entire Denver metro area, not limited to Denver County residents. Children are encouraged to attend to select their backpacks in person. For those using public transportation, RTD routes 20 and 40 have stops conveniently located at the Museum.

El Museo de Naturaleza y Ciencia de Denver organiza un evento para distribuir mochilas y útiles escolares gratuitos
DENVER - El Museo de Naturaleza y Ciencia de Denver se enorgullece de apoyar a Kensi's Causes Packz4Kidz en un evento anual de distribución de mochilas, ayudando a los estudiantes locales mientras se preparan para el nuevo año escolar. Packz4Kidz tiene como objetivo distribuir miles de mochilas llenas de útiles escolares esenciales a niños de bajos ingresos desde preescolar hasta el grado 12. ¡El evento tendrá muchas oportunidades visuales y de grabación!

- Lugar: Museo de Naturaleza y Ciencia de Denver (Entra por la entrada de Grupos Escolares en el lado sur del edificio)
Cada niño tendrá la oportunidad de elegir su propia mochila, fomentando un sentido de propiedad y entusiasmo por el próximo año escolar. También habrá botellas de agua y loncheras disponibles por orden de llegada. Kenzi's Causes también está organizando cortes de pelo gratuitos para el regreso a clases de los participantes, proporcionando excelentes oportunidades visuales y de grabación.
"El Museo está muy emocionado de organizar este evento comunitario. En particular, estamos ansiosos por dar la bienvenida a tantas familias en su primera visita al Museo e invitarlas a quedarse y disfrutar de las exhibiciones de ciencia y naturaleza después de recibir sus mochilas", dijo Daniel Ville, Gerente de Participación Comunitaria del Museo de Naturaleza y Ciencia de Denver.
El evento está abierto a familias de toda el área metropolitana de Denver, no se limita a los residentes de la Cuidad de Denver. Se anima a los niños a asistir para elegir sus mochilas en persona. Para aquellos que usen transporte público, las rutas 20 y 40 de RTD tienen paradas convenientemente ubicadas en el Museo.
