Your Magical Winter Nights Experience

This experience takes you on a journey through select areas of the Museum, specifically the West Atrium and Third Floor diorama halls. These spaces have been transformed into a series of enchanting winter worlds just waiting to be explored. Under sparkling stars and through a series of immersive scenes, there's something for everyone in this adventure designed to delight all ages.

  • The Lodge: Fireside vibes, cocoa and cocktails for purchase.
  • A Wild Winterland: Moonlit savannah scene with wildlife ambiance.
  • The Frosted Path: Indoor ice-less skating.
  • Evergreen Hideaway: Colorado-inspired forest.
  • Celestial Canopy: Indoor Northern Lights.
  • Glacier Groove: A dance party with unexpected hosts.
  • Village Shop: Holiday shopping with curated gifts and souvenirs.

Tickets & Arrival

Find the magic entrance: Begin your winter adventure through the West Atrium on the City Park side of the Museum.

Visiting the Museum first? After exploring the exhibits, exit through the main (North) entrance and follow the twinkling signs to reenter through the West Atrium for Magical Winter Nights.

A special ticket for a special night: Magical Winter Nights is a separate ticketed experience and doesn’t include general Museum admission, access to exhibits, or Friday evening hours. If you’d like to explore the Museum before or after your visit, a general admission ticket or membership is required.

Your ticket to wonder: Have your timed-entry ticket ready (printed or on your phone) and plan to arrive right on time—your entry is guaranteed for 30 minutes after your scheduled slot. Early arrivals can’t be accommodated, and guests arriving more than 30 minutes late will be admitted as space allows.

For our night’s final entry (8 or 9 p.m.): Guests arriving more than 30 minutes late, sadly, can’t be admitted—so don’t let the clock strike midnight on your chance to glow!

Sip, sparkle, and save: If you purchased a souvenir mug, pick it up when you check in and enjoy a discounted drink to warm your night. Mugs can also be purchased on site for $14.

Parking & Getting Here

Accessible parking spaces are located in the main parking lot on the north side, in the underground parking garage (enter at the northwest corner of the lot). Parking is free, but spaces fill up fast during the holidays, so we recommend leaving a little extra time to find a spot.

Dress & Seasonal Conditions

This winter wonderland is indoors! You’ll stay cozy as you wander through the sparkling scenes of Magical Winter Nights.

Comfortable shoes are your best companion for exploring all the enchanting worlds. Don’t forget your socks if you’d like to glide across the iceless skating rink!

Accessibility

The experience is ADA-accessible. The experience includes an indoor skating rink which may not be accessible to all visitors.

If you plan to bring a stroller, single-wide strollers are highly encouraged.

Food & Drink

Follow the scent of sweetness and spice! Warm beverages, cool cocktails and tasty snacks will be available for purchase in select areas throughout your journey.

Don’t forget to stop by the Village Shoppe for delightful gifts and keepsakes to remember your night.

Please note: outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Explore at Your Pace

Most guests spend 45 to 60 minutes exploring the magic of the night. Whether you choose to linger or leap ahead, every pathway leads to something new and delightful. You can take part in as many activities as you like—just be ready to smile, laugh and let the wonder in.

Before you go, stop by the Village Shoppe for charming gifts and souvenirs to keep the magic going.
