Moche Textiles: Their Value and Role in North Coast Communities

Dr. Fernandez Lopez's current research on Moche textiles has opened a series of new perspectives on their historical developments, their influence on other ceramics and mural art, and the integration of attributes corresponding to different styles. As in other traditions, Moche textiles—through their distinctive technical-stylistic attributes—gave rise to textile systems as transmitters of diverse messages.
