What is Science Lounge?
Science Lounge is a beloved tradition at DMNS! It's a unique after-hours event tailored for adults 21 and over to enjoy a refreshing cold beverage and some tasty snacks while exploring the Museum in a whole new light. Picture a magical date night, an extraordinary group outing, and an educational soirée all rolled into one unforgettable experience!
But that’s not all – we’ve always got some scientific and “sip-able” discoveries on hand for the curiosity connoisseurs out there.
What to Expect:
• Enjoy Teen Rex (without the teens!): Get an up-close look at our newest discovery, an adolescent T. rex fossil recently discovered in the Hell Creek Formation.
• Mini-Lectures – Dig This!: Dive deep into the exceptional experience and extensive field career of DMNS' Education Collections Manager, Jeff Stephenson.
• Scavenger Hunts: Embark on an adventure to uncover hidden mysteries throughout the Museum.
• Specialty Cocktail: Savor our signature drink of the evening, the DinOld-Fashioned!*
• Get Ready to Rock: Dust off those dino dance moves and get ready to party with the Denver Rock Orchestra!
DRO is here to celebrate popular music, combining the high art of the orchestral sonic experience and the toe-tapping, body-shaking, guitar-smashing catharsis that can only come from turning the dial up to eleven. We are here for the playlist makers, the top-40 savants, the genre-curious, and those who grew up on a steady diet of music videos. The most classic of rocks are dino bones – so let’s cut loose with some Classic Rock!
