Visit with Museum scientists, learn how evolution has shaped life as we know it, and examine some remarkable and seldom seen collections!

Are You A Monkey’s Uncle?
Discover the many similarities (and differences!) across the animal kingdom. Learn how your body is like the bodies of other animals, complete a scavenger hunt, and get a prize!

Meet Museum Historical Enactor from the HMS Beagle
Travel back in time with seaman Jack Tar, as he shares stories about sailing the Patagonian coast with Darwin.
Throughout the Wildlife Halls, 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 

Backyard Biology
Explore the natural histories of the living things in your own backyard. Learn how animals pollinate plants, and draw a picture of a pollinating creature to take home.
Level 1, Insects and Butterflies, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

Free Face Painting
Get your face painted with a fun design!
Level 2, Leprino Family Atrium, 10 a.m.-12:45p.m. and 2 -4:45p.m.

 

Scavenger Hunt
Pick up a scavenger hunt and explore the Museum’s world famous wildlife dioramas!

Mr. Bones
Check out paleopuppeteer “Mr. Bones” and his life-size dinosaur puppets.
