FAQs

  • Home schools and organized youth groups with a minimum of 10 students in grades PreK–12 are subject to the same policies and receive the same pricing as school groups.

You will receive a confirmation by e-mail that includes details on logistics and how to get ready for your field trip, supplemental materials, and tips for a successful field trip. Please read and use these materials to prepare your group effectively. You may also download them by clicking here.

Payment in full is due 30 days before your program. If you book less than 30 days before the program, payment in full is due at the time of your reservation. The Museum will send an e-mail with a payment reminder 45 days before your program. Upon payment, a receipt will be e-mailed to you along with details for your program.

FIELD TRIPS: Report your final head count at check-in. If applicable, request a refund for absent participants. 

FIELD TRIPS: If your group has more adults or wants to add an event, the lead teacher will submit a single adjustment payment at the School Cashier desk.

The Museum accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa by calling 303.370.6000, or checks payable to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

Museum membership privileges are not extended to school group reservations.

All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event.

If your plans change, please immediately call 303.370.6000 or send an e-mail to [email protected] and include your confirmation number, necessary changes, and contact information. Please understand that we may be unable to accommodate changes.

For Field Trip Adventures, Programs at Your School, and Distance Learning, the Museum will allow even exchanges for alternate dates or programs, based on availability, provided the request is received a minimum of 21 days in advance of the original date.

Field trips may be scheduled year-round, with the exception of SCFD Community Free Days and Museum holidays. 

Due to capacity limits, your requested field trip date(s) and/or programs may be sold out.

One supervising adult per 10 students is required for every group and admission is free for these chaperones.

Additional adults are welcome with your group reservation at the paid chaperone rate.

All supervising adults must be present at check-in to be admitted as part of the group.

Entry for adults arriving separately after check-in requires purchase of group rate ticket or their personal membership number.
