Library Technicians will assist the Earth Sciences Department in organizing and building a library database. Volunteers will document Earth Sciences publications in an Excel spreadsheet for easy access. Volunteers will also organize the physical publications and develop an internal check in/out system for department use.
Exceptional organization skills, solid oral and written communication skills, ability to problem solve and work independently, firm understanding of rare document handling, experience with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Creative Suite, ability to take direction. Experience as a librarian perferred but not required.
Curatorial Assistant will train.
Applicants must be able to volunteer for a minimum of three hour shifts every week. Minimum of 20 shifts per year required. Shifts available Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Available to individual applicants 18 and older.
