Air pollution is a global concern, and the World Health Organization estimates that it leads to a staggering 4.2 million premature deaths annually worldwide. In Colorado, the Front Range has struggled to meet the EPA's national air quality standards, putting immense pressure on local policymakers and regulators to address the issue.

What's in the Podcast?

"Clearing the Air" doesn't just skim the surface; it dives deep into the science and sources of air pollution. It explains why the effects of air pollution are not evenly distributed and how historical and current policies either tackle or ignore the problem.

The podcast is hosted by Kristan Uhlenbrock, the Director of the Institute for Science & Policy, who emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing this invisible threat. "Since air is often invisible, it’s easy to ignore something we don’t always see," says Uhlenbrock. "Our story brings nuance and deeper thinking into how we solve our air pollution challenge."
